Background
Carah L. Walker,FNP-BC is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Carah joined the GANM team in 2017 and works closely with Dr. Ernie Williams.
Prior to this, she served as a Nurse Practitioner in Tupelo, MS beginning in 1996 after being an Oncology Nurse with Baylor Hospital in Dallas, TX. In 2005, she began working in the field of Gastroenterology first in Tupelo, MS, and then in San Antonio, TX. Carah attended the University of Tennessee, where she earned her MSN and Family Nurse Practitioner Degree. She was also a Sigma Theta Tau Member.
As a skilled public speaker, Carah has presented for numerous pharmaceutical companies specializing in Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Hepatitis C. She utilizes her experience from all aspects of IM, GI, Family Practice and years of leadership and administration to greatly enhance the experience of our patients at Gastroenterology Associates of North Mississippi each day.
